Nice to see a new posthumous single being released by Michael Jacksons Estate.I met MJ three times whilst working as in house photographer at Sony Music. All three occasions were to photograph him being presented with one award or another by key Sony staff.
I also took live pics on both the Dangerous and HIStory tours as well as editorial shots for an exclusive album launch of Dangerous at Londons Savoy Hotel
Working as an insider it became apparent just how vulnerable he was.The last time I was in his presence was at a 5 star hotel in Marbella. He was at the centre of a massive global money making machine, his entourage was considerable and although he was a consumate professional I sensed that he was permanently on display.Permanently in demand.
Could this be the reason he locked himself into a world of childhood dreams? He was certainly more comfortable in the company of those that had no reason to ask anything from him.Those that just wanted to hang out and have fun.Those that hadnt yet embraced the manipulative and demanding ways of the world.
